The benefits of a Nolte Mezzanine floor

The Hexa holes are holes with a honeycomb pattern, allowing for efficient cable routing without any loss of height.

The ability to integrate lighting, sprinkler, and fire installations into the profile, providing direct protection to the installation.

Additional strength from the cold-rolled profile, due to the incorporation of special bends in the profile.

Cheaper and lighter than traditional construction.

Floor finishing: Nolte chipboard

Nolte Mezzanine has developed a special panel for the applications of mezzanine floors as a base plate. This is the high-density chipboard (690 kg/m², with a tolerance of +/-7%) U7 38 mm. The product has an extremely compacted core and has strongly bonded outer layers. This CE-certified panel (class P6 and 312) far exceeds the technical strength and stiffness requirements of the P6 standard. It forms the basis for a robust and reliable floor.

As a result, Nolte’s U7 panels can bridge larger distances between support beams than traditional P6 panels. This material saving allows mezzanine floors to be installed in a cost-effective manner.

Various types of floor panels

Nolte chipboards are standardly available with a thickness of 38 mm. Other thicknesses and types (such as P5) are also available upon request. Each chipboard is produced and supplied according to European standards. Nolte is actively committed to sustainable forest management. Therefore, our floor panels are available upon request with PEFC and FSC® labels.

The chipboards are delivered with a tongue and groove connection (F-profile) on all four sides as standard. The F-profile ensures not only quick and professional installation but also maximum strength, both for distributed loads and point loads.

Rack grid

Compared to traditional rack coverings, rack grids are more durable and lighter. They also allow water to pass through more effectively. Rack grids are an ideal solution for use with racks. Due to the transparency, the product on the rack is easily identifiable.

Nolte Anti-slip

These floor panels feature a pronounced gray surface texture, providing an extremely high slip resistance value (R12). As a result, Nolte Anti-slip is suitable for frequently traversed areas. The underside is finished with a white melamine layer, suitable for higher light values and providing a professional finish in the space beneath the floor, with a fire reaction class of Bfl-s1

Nolte Deluxe

This panel features a durable melamine finish. During the pressing process, the panels acquire a specific texture, providing a high slip resistance value of R10. The underside is finished with a white melamine layer, suitable for higher light values and a professional finish beneath the floor. The fire reaction class is Cfl-s1.

Pressure-locked gratings

Press-locked gratings are utilized in various industrial sectors. A continuous welded connection at each individual intersection of the bearing and filler bars results in a robust and stable structure. As a result, press-locked gratings are highly suitable for locations where significant shear forces occur. They are also applicable in areas where frequent changes in platform covering are required. Press-locked gratings can be customized according to customer requirements, depending on the specific conditions in which the grating will be used.

Steel panels

Nolte Mezzanine is capable of incorporating high-quality steel panels into projects, offering numerous options to achieve the most efficient results. Compared to gratings, the advantage of steel panels is their superior walkability. Examples of different types of steel panels include:

  • Galvanized or coated plates
  • Plates with a perforated pattern or completely solid
  • Smoke and water-permeable plates

Nolte chipboard natural and white

This panel has a thickness of 38 mm U7 and features a white underside. The top layer consists of a densely compressed, untreated chipboard. This top layer can be further finished with a thin floor covering, as well as PVC, vinyl, carpet, coating, or a metal plate. The underside is treated with a UV-cured, white lacquer layer. It is suitable for higher light values and provides a professional finish in the space beneath the floor.

The standard colors of a mezzanine floor

Your mezzanine floor can be delivered in the desired color at Nolte Mezzanine. Combinations are also possible, where the columns have a different color than the railing and the stairs. We use powder-coated components for a longer lifespan. In addition to the four standard colors, we provide any RAL color at an additional cost.

Powder coating

Powder coating, also known as powder painting or powder coating, is an electrostatic painting process. In this process, negatively charged polyester powder is sprayed onto a positively charged product using compressed air. The powder temporarily adheres to the surface. It is then melted or cured in an oven. Curing involves heating the product with the applied powder to approximately 180 degrees Celsius to initiate a chemical reaction. This melts the powder, giving the polyester powder coating its final properties.

The powders used meet the QualiCoat standard, as used in architecture. This means that even after a period of four years (the so-called Florida test), the powders must retain their gloss, color, and chemical properties in accordance with the requirements of this standard. Additionally, exposure to exceptionally harsh conditions poses no problem for Nolte polyester powder coating.

Why powder coating?

Powder coating is strong and impact-resistant with high chemical resistance. It is also highly durable and environmentally friendly. It provides optimal protection against UV radiation or chemical influences. Additionally, it is easy to clean due to its hard, smooth, and attractive finish. Therefore, it is extremely suitable for industrial applications. Powder coating is also used where hygiene is important or where materials need to withstand extreme conditions.

For extra durability (for example, in damp or cold areas), an additional epoxy primer can be applied, under the polyester topcoat, upon consultation. A small additional charge is required for this. As a result, Nolte Mezzanine floors can also be used effectively in humid environments.

The most beautiful protection of steel

We have chosen to powder coat welded components such as columns, base plates, etc. All welded parts are coated in the desired RAL color. All profiles (main and secondary beams, child beams, and sheet metal) on which the mezzanine floor rests can also be supplied in any desired RAL color. All RAL colors are available, allowing the floor to form a colorful whole.

Powder paint does not contain any solvents and/or diluents and is completely free of heavy metals such as lead chromate. Replacements are used to minimize environmental impact. Thanks to our simple and unique recovery system, little powder is lost during coating. Therefore, powder coating is done with a very high efficiency. Sustainability is therefore not an empty promise. It is an essential part of our business operations.

Sustainable and environmentally friendly

The advantage of powder coating is that no solvents are released. This is because the paint consists of a solid substance. No additives are needed to adhere it to the product. Additionally, the excess powder that doesn’t adhere to the product can be reused. This makes the powder coating process environmentally friendly.

Steel Pretreatment

The best guarantee for a perfect result is: the right pretreatment. Each surface requires its own specific approach. During pretreatment, we leave no millimeter untreated. Our specialists have achieved a very high degree of perfection.

Options and quality: we use the best materials and resources, as well as the most modern equipment. Your product is in the hands of professionals who have an eye for detail and a passion for quality. This is complemented by a clean, fast, efficient, and precise production process. This is followed by thorough quality control, guaranteeing the quality of your Mezzanine floor.

Both cold-rolled and hot-rolled profiles can be powder-coated at Nolte Mezzanine up to fifteen meters. But there is more. For example, we can customize your Mezzanine floor with a special topcoat according to your preferences (including anti-graffiti).

Railing Work

Safety comes first. That’s why we recommend purchasing railing work for the stairs. This allows you to walk safely on the stairs. Especially when carrying items up and down the stairs frequently, it’s extra important to ensure you can ascend and descend safely. With our railing work, you can securely hold onto the railing.

A steel railing from Nolte Mezzanine

Nolte’s range includes various types of handrails to enhance safety for you and your employees. You can choose from standard handrail options, as well as steel balustrades or removable steel handrails. Additionally, you can select the desired length based on your specific needs. At Nolte, we’re here to assist you in making the right choice.

The required dimensions depend on factors such as the length and height of the staircase and floor. It’s crucial that the entire structure fits and aligns seamlessly. Therefore, it’s advisable to finalize the selection of a steel handrail once you’ve determined the exact length needed.

The handrail must fulfill its intended purpose: the connections should be robust enough so that in emergency situations, the handrails can withstand incidents such as someone stumbling. Mezzanine floors are typically used daily, making a sturdy floor not only essential but also the handrail. Investing in a steel handrail for a small floor can be a significant part of the Mezzanine floor investment, so it’s essential not to skimp on it!
