Nolte Mezzanine: Building quality together

Chipboards from Nolte

Nolte Mezzanine has developed a high-density chipboard (690 kg/m2, with a tolerance of +/-7%) U7 38mm as the base plate for the application of mezzanine floors, featuring an extremely compacted core and strongly bonded top layers. The Nolte chipboard U7 is a P6 board with enhanced strength properties. This CE-certified board (class P6 EN 312) significantly exceeds the technical strength and stiffness requirements of the P6 standard and serves as the basis for a robust and reliable floor. As a result, Nolte U7 boards can span greater distances between support beams than traditional P6 boards. This material saving allows mezzanine floors to be installed in a cost-effective manner.

Why a mezzanine floor?

Installing a mezzanine floor in your warehouse is easy, fast, and causes minimal disruption. Each floor is easily expandable or even customizable according to your needs. Whether you want to add an extension later on or perhaps install stairs, it’s not a problem. You can rely on us for guardrails, pallet storage areas, edge finishing, and column protection.

Are you moving or need to relocate the floor? That’s also possible. Our floors are easily demountable. With our mezzanine floors, you maximize your warehouse space, even vertically, thanks to the additional levels you can add.

Different types of floor panels

Nolte chipboards are standardly available with a thickness of 38 mm. Other thicknesses and types (e.g., P5) are also available upon request. Each chipboard is manufactured and supplied according to European standards. Nolte actively commits to sustainable forest management. Therefore, the floor panels are available upon request with PEFC and FSC® labels. The chipboards are supplied as standard with a tongue and groove connection (F-profile) on all 4 sides. The F profile ensures not only quick and professional installation but also maximum strength, for both distributed loads and point loads.

Nolte chipboard natural and white

Thickness 38mm U7 (underside white) with a strongly compacted, non-refined chipboard as the top layer. This top layer can be further finished with a thin floor covering, PVC, vinyl, carpet, coating, or metal sheet. The underside is refined with a UV-cured, white lacquer layer. Suitable for higher light values and a professional finish in the space below the floor.

Nolte Anti-slip

These floor panels feature a distinctive grey surface texture. The deep structure ensures an extremely high slip resistance value (R12) and makes Nolte Anti-slip suitable for areas that are frequently walked on. The underside is finished with a white melamine layer, suitable for higher light values and a professional finish in the space below the floor. Fire reaction class Bfl-s1.

Pressed grating

Pressed grating is used in many sectors of the industry. A continuous welding connection at each individual intersection of the bearing and filling bars results in a very sturdy and stable construction. Therefore, a pressed grating is highly applicable in locations where large shear forces occur, and it is also suitable for places where a change in platform covering is often needed. A pressed grating can be customized to customer requirements according to the situation in which it will be used.

Nolte Deluxe

This board features a wear-resistant melamine finish. During the pressing process, these panels receive a specific texture that provides a slip resistance value of R10. The underside is finished with a white melamine layer, suitable for higher light values and a professional finish in the space below the floor. Fire reaction class Cfl-s1.

Nolte chipboard natural

Floor coating with a thickness of 38mm U7, featuring a strongly compacted, non-refined chipboard as the top layer. This top layer is finished with a special floor coating, available in various colors. The underside is refined with a UV-cured, white lacquer layer, suitable for higher light values and a professional finish in the space below the floor. The fire reaction class of this board is Cfl-s1.

Shelf grates

Compared to traditional shelf decking, shelf grates are more durable, lighter, and allow water to pass through better. Shelf grates are an ideal solution when using shelves, as the visibility of the product on the shelf is easily recognized due to the permeability.

Steel panels

Nolte Mezzanine is capable of using high-quality steel panels. There are many options available to achieve the most efficient result. The advantage of steel panels compared to grates is that steel panels are more walkable.

Examples of different steel panels include:

  • Galvanized or coated plates
  • Plates with a hole pattern or completely solid
  • Smoke and water-permeable plates

Frequently asked question about floor finishing
What is meant by floor finishing?

Floor finishing refers to the top layer or covering of a floor, which is applied to protect, enhance, or provide additional properties to the base floor. At Nolte Mezzanine, various floor finishings are offered for mezzanine floors, such as high-density chipboard, anti-slip floor panels, pressed grating, Nolte Deluxe panels, and steel panels. Each finishing has unique properties, such as slip resistance, load capacity, light permeability, or wear resistance, which can be tailored to the specific needs of the customer and the use of the floor. Feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements and find a customized solution.

What is best for the floor?

The best option for the floor depends on the specific needs and the use of the space. For industrial environments, pressed grating may be suitable due to its strength and stability, while Nolte anti-slip floor panels are ideal for spaces frequently walked on because of their high slip resistance. For office or commercial spaces, steel panels may be preferred due to their better walkability.

Therefore, the best flooring material varies based on factors such as safety, load capacity, light permeability, and wear resistance, depending on the specific application and requirements. Feel free to contact us to discuss your needs and find a customized solution.

What is the most maintenance-free floor?

The Nolte anti-slip floor is the most maintenance-free floor. These floor panels have a grey surface texture and are highly suitable for spaces that are frequently walked on. The floor is easy to clean thanks to its hard and smooth finish. Additionally, the underside is finished with a white melamine layer, suitable for a professional finish beneath the floor.

With its high slip resistance value (R12) and minimal maintenance requirements, the Nolte anti-slip floor is a durable choice resistant to daily use. Feel free to contact us to discuss your needs and find a customized solution.

Which floor is the most scratch-resistant?

The floor with the highest scratch resistance is Nolte Deluxe. This panel features a wear-resistant melamine finish and offers a high slip resistance value of R10. The Nolte Deluxe floor has a robust structure that withstands scratches and wear, making it a durable choice for high-traffic areas.
