Mezzanine floor of 3,389 m² with growth potential to two levels increases storage and picking capacity for fashion items
More space for growth and efficiency
To expand storage capacity and picking locations for fashion items, Nolte Mezzanine built a one-level mezzanine floor for Bleckmann Almelo. The structure was designed with the option to add a second level in the future, ensuring flexibility for further growth. Maximum free space was maintained under the floor for large components and efficient logistics.
The challenge: maximizing space utilization
Bleckmann needed more capacity for storage and manual picking without reducing the available ground floor space. The solution had to fully use the building’s height and integrate seamlessly into existing logistics processes.
Technical construction with an eye on the future
The mezzanine was built from cold-rolled profiles with a column grid of approximately 6,000 x 6,000 mm and a chipboard floor finish. With a floor height of +6,212 mm and stability provided by portals, the structure is suitable for intensive use as a storage and picking tower. Thanks to its design, expansion to a second level can be easily realized.
