Two-level mezzanine of 7,000 m² creates additional storage and picking capacity for fashion items
From 3,500 m² to 10,500 m² of storage space
For Bleckmann Venlo, Nolte Mezzanine built a two-level mezzanine. This tripled the available capacity: from 3,500 m² to no less than 10,500 m². The floor is used as a storage and picking tower for fashion items, making optimal use of the building’s height while keeping the ground floor largely free for large components and logistics processes.
The challenge: more space within the same building
With growing demand for fashion items, Bleckmann needed additional storage and picking capacity. Expansion outside the existing building was not possible, so the solution had to be found in more efficient use of height. At the same time, it was essential to keep the ground floor free for flexibility in daily operations.
Technical solution tailored to fashion logistics
The mezzanine was built from cold-rolled profiles with a column grid of approximately 5,000 x 4,500 mm, finished with a chipboard floor. With floor heights of +4,968 mm and +8,000 mm and stability provided by portals, the structure is suitable for intensive use as a storage and picking tower. This solution combines additional capacity with an efficient and safe logistics layout.
