Mezzanine floor of 2,052 m² creates additional storage capacity and efficient picking locations for bicycles in Heerhugowaard
More space for bicycles and parts
To support the growing demand for bicycles and related parts, Nolte Mezzanine built a one-level mezzanine floor for Fietsvoordeelshop. The floor doubled the available capacity and created space for both storage and picking locations. This allowed the client to make optimal use of the existing space without expanding.
The challenge: lack of storage capacity
Due to the strong increase in demand for bicycles and parts, Fietsvoordeelshop faced a shortage of storage space. Expanding the building was not an option, so a solution within the existing walls was needed. The goal: create extra capacity while continuing daily operations without disruption.
A mezzanine as a flexible solution
The mezzanine was built from cold-rolled profiles with a column grid of approximately 6,000 x 4,650 mm and finished with chipboard flooring. With a floor height of +3,440 mm and stability provided by cross bracing, the construction is suitable for intensive use as a storage and picking tower. This solution not only makes the warehouse more spacious but also future-proof.
