The problem of Safestore Aalsmeer Schiphol
Safestore Aalsmeer Schiphol enables its customers to keep property safe in a busy region. It is easily accessible from Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam and Leiden, so it is very busy. Actually too busy, considering the old situation of the property. To get the most out of their current location, Safestore Aalsmeer Schiphol knocked on our door asking us to create as much space as possible in the space they currently have.
What We Did
Getting the most out of a building; no problem for us, of course. In cooperation with Selfstorage Systeme, we developed a ready-to-use mezzanine that could be used immediately. Together, we looked at the design: Selfstorage Systeme at the dimensions, we at the technical aspects of the mezzanine. The end product: a mezzanine floor including staircases, which could be used immediately by Safestore Aalsmeer Schiphol to create more space for their customers.
The mezzanine we made for Safestore used cold-rolled profiles with a grid of about 3,000 x 3,000. A chipboard floor finish was chosen. These floor slabs were then coated with an expoxy floor coating consisting of two components. Stairs were also made, fitted with anti-slip strips for increased safety.
