For Schedl Automotive in Bremen, we built a 250 m² mezzanine to optimise the warehouse systems.
A success story in pictures
The project resulted in a single-storey mezzanine floor with an area of 250 m². This floor provides space for maintenance platforms and supports the conveyors connecting the small parts warehouse to the automated high bay warehouse (AKL). The floor is constructed from cold-rolled sections and have a column grid of 6000 x 4000 mm. In addition, it is finished with a grid floor. This adds to the functional and robust nature of the structure.
The Challenge Faced by Schedl Automotive System Service
Schedl Automotive System Service was seeking a way to optimize their space by integrating a solution that facilitated both storage and maintenance. The challenge was to create a space-saving and efficient solution that fully utilized the height of the warehouse while enhancing productivity through the combination of an automated warehouse and conveyor systems.
What We Did
We designed and installed a custom-made mezzanine floor specifically tailored to the needs of Schedl Automotive System Service. The floor, with a height of 3400 mm, is equipped with portals for stability without cross bracing. This mezzanine supports maintenance operations and the conveyor systems in the automated small parts warehouse, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of their warehouse systems.
