The project resulted in a two-storey mezzanine floor specifically designed for SRF’s archival tape storage. With a total floor area of 3,540 m², this new space allows SRF to efficiently store their archival tapes in wooden crates placed on pushback racks. The mezzanine floor is constructed from cold-rolled profiles and fitted with a chipboard floor finish, providing a robust and functional solution that perfectly suits SRF’s needs.
The Challenge Faced by SRF
SRF faced a shortage of storage space for their archive tapes, which hindered their operations. The existing facility did not provide enough room to store the archives properly, making it necessary to expand the available storage capacity.
What We Did
To meet SRF’s storage needs, Nolte Mezzanine designed and installed a custom two-story mezzanine floor. The floor covers an area of 3,540 m² and has heights of 4,650 and 7,450 mm. For added stability, the floor is equipped with cross bracing. This mezzanine is specifically designed to facilitate both storage and pick-and-place processes.
